Miller Bluestar 2e Welder Manual

Posted on -

I have an old inherited Miller bluestar 2e welder that was handed down to me. I am needing a part off the pto side of the motor. This is an old unit. The round circle plate that is bolted to the oil pan that is pressed on the crankshaft. I am probably S.O.L. But this is worth a try.

Other than the serial number off the unit ( ja369806 ) I have no other numbers. It has a Tecumseh engine ( 10 hp I believe ). Can someone please direct me to a part number or someone that can help me locate this plate?ANy response will be appreciated. Miller BlueStar 2eSorry about that.

It is the disk that is pressed on to the crankshaft that is circular and it is NOT bolted to the pan. It seems to be a clutch of some sort. It has no springs just four bolts that attach the motor to the rest of the unit.

For some reason I was trying to detach it from the engine and I used a puller and with the force I ended up breaking it. The only numbers that I can get off of this broken part is: 605-212.Any part number and name of the part will greatly be appreciated. Even where I can possibly find one.Any help will greatly be appreciated. Thanks A Bunch.

Well, it goes, case protection screen, pullstart rewinder, flywheel, flywheel, and stator (for charging). IF you have a electric starter the rewind coil may or may not be there. Pretty darn simple engine.

Part#'s are pretty much useless on a 30 year old machine though.Still going to need a picture. Can tell you imediately what it is.Unsure what PTO side of engine is anyways, Are you talking, engine removed, and the spine sticking out, or the flywheel sidehe would be talking about the side of the engine with the crank drive shaft sticking out. That would be the pto side. Im thinking it had a drive plate for the generator of the welder.Kevin. Miller BlueStar 2EThis is opposite of the flywheel side.

It is a pull rope flywheel along with an electric starter. This disk / plate that I need is just under the hub that attaches to the oilpan. This disk looking / circular plate is pressed on the crankshaft side of the oilpan. I may be S.O.L. But I am at least trying to get some hope out of it. Hopefully a used part if possible. PTO side is the side opposite of the flywheel side.
